LANDLINES was a large, site-specific installation by Anna Schuleit on the occasion of the MacDowell Colony's Centennial. The installation installed 100 working telephones to trees scattered throughout the site's 450 acres. The phones went live on the evening of the centennial celebration connecting attendees to past colonists who called in from around the world.
