Syringes, Glitter, IV Poles, Personal Notes

​

Using glitter, syringes and other familiar medical supplies, participants created their own 'magic shots' - making art as a way of navigating the overwhelming experience of being in a children's hospital for patients, families, and hospital staff. Tucked away inside the syringes, handwritten notes described what was in each personal 'magic shot' -- articulating the hopes, fears, and needs of the creators in such a complex environment.
